Ever seen The Guild by Felicia Day? Well, you will inevitably have come across the undoubtedly tacky but strangely awesome portrait of Fawkes and Codex, aka Team Cawkes or Highland Sexstasy. And if you think along the lines of my odd brain, you will have crumbled with laughter at the monstrosity of a painting.
As much as this painting screams kitsch, there was a certain cult factor to it. It’s one of those things that is so bad that it’s already cool again.
Anyways, this was my second sculpture dealing with full body figurines, taking it up a notch by combining two interacting with one another. Some parts I simply had to guess and make up for myself, as they were not represented in the painting, like everything that happened below the waistline.
I also amended the sword, taking a Scottish broadsword as seen in the Braveheart movie, downscaling it to a size that could be held in one hand. BEcause the original sword is so large that you have to wield it with both hands or be an exceptionally strong person to do it with one.
The finished piece stands 14″ (35.5 cm) tall.
